Wholesale 2023-07-19: Unchanged at "Stronger" strength rating (3rd strongest of 9 levels), previous move was up
Wholesale for the trading week ending 2023-07-19. Minimal change in the underlying sub-industries.

Strengthening but not many underlying companies and no sub-industries of size. Food Wholesale is the largest with eight companies. This has been strengthening which I surmise is not great for the rest of us - this strengthening will end up in retail prices down the road, perhaps. Due to the small number of component stocks this industry will be a low priority for future analysis.

Wholesale has strengthened over the past eight weeks with the strengthening movement evident above in all the sub-industries. Drugs has been unchanged at Strongest for eight weeks, but there are only three component stocks.

Leaders and Laggards

Current strongest and weakest stocks are shown below. These are of most interest as the downtrodden are prone to large (if perhaps temporary) pops while the strongest have been leading the charge for their sub-industries.

SPTN/SpartanNash Company and UNFI/United Natural Foods clearly doing something wrong compared to the other Wholesale stocks. Can anyone explain DIT's 14% gain?
